Organized Session on Wavelet Applications and Smart Visualization is
planned in The 10th International Symposium on Flow
Visualization. This Symposium, which is co-sponsored by the
International Flow Visualization Society and the Visualization Society
of Japan, is the latest in the series of International Flow
Visualization Symposia, first held in Tokyo in 1977 and successively
in Bochum, Ann Arbor, Paris, Prague, Yokohama, Seattle, Sorrento and
Edinburgh.

This organized session is open to researchers in applied mathematics,
signal and image processing, computer vision, medical imaging,
physics, engineering, et al.. The purpose is to provide an opportunity
for introducing innovative approaches, exchanging information and
stimulating discussion on the potential of wavelet technology and
smart visualized information processing in all fields. Papers are
solicited on topics in the latest progress, new concepts and novel
applications.

Papers will be accepted on the basis of extended abstracts of no more
than 4 pages including figures and references. Please use the Template
that is available at the symposium web
site. (http://www.vsj.or.jp/isfv10/) Although the template is provided
by Word, please submit your abstract by PDF. They should include the
title, authors' names and affiliations, a concise statement of the

figures. Please identify the corresponding author with an asterisk and
provide his/her complete address, telephone number, fax number and
e-mail address.

The abstract should be submitted to the symposium web site
(http://www.vsj.or.jp/isfv10/) by January 31, 2002. Please select
OS-11. Wavelet Applications and Smart Visualization session in the
Abstract Submission Form. If you could not, four copies of the
abstract must be submitted to organizers by mail. Notice of
acceptance of papers will be provided by March 31, 2002. Final
manuscripts will be due by May 31, 2002 in order to be included in the
