KLA-Tencor, Milpitas, California, is offering a post to
perform research into defect detection in images optically
sensed from semiconductor wafers. The research work will
include novel noise suppression and computer vision algorithms
at high data rates. The candidate should have a PhD, or should
have performed post-doctoral research, in an area focusing on
the analysis of two-dimensional images. The candidate must be
fluent in C or C++ and ideally the candidate will have worked
on image-processing code prototyping with a higher-level
interpreted language such as MATLAB or IDL. Industrial
experience would be an advantage.
