#17 Meeting: Workshop on potential field in geosciences.

Dear Colleagues,

We are organizing a workshop on "Future directions in the analysis of
potential field data in geosciences: inversion, signal processing,
interpretation". The workshop will be held in Perth, Western
Australia, 30th July - 2nd August 2001.

The purpose of the workshop is to facilitate brainstorming between
potential field experts and specialists from other fields such as
image processing, medical imaging, AI, Soft Computing, aiming at
developing new ideas and approaches to old problems.

We are planning to invite some researchers in the above areas, with
particular emphasis on wavelets, for presentations and discussions. If
you believe that your expertise could be useful to our research, or
you would be interested in applying your techniques to our problems,
you may contact us and apply as invited speaker.

A draft first announcement of the workshop can be found at A
final program will be posted at a later stage.
