Subject 1: Workshop on Wavelets and Wavelet-based Technologies

Date: Oct. 29-30, 1998

All talks (except those by by Leland Jameson and Akram Aldroubi)
will be in Japanese. There is no registration fee, however, attendees
are asked to sign in on the participation sheet to ensure accurate
headcount for funding for future workshops. Further details will
be available on either

Subject 2: Half-Day Seminars on Wavelets

Information on a series of half-day seminars on wavelets, held
3 to 4 times per year, which emphasize applications useful to
mechnical engineeers is available on the same server at:

Inoue, Hirotsugu (Japanese)
Sakakibara, Susumu (Japanese & English)

The seminars are supported, in part, by the Japan Society of
Mechanical Engineers (JSME). There is no formal participation
fee, however, regular attendees are asked to pay a few thousand
yen per year to offset mailing and photcopying costs, if
possible (receipts can be issued).

The pages mentioned above are in Japanese. They can be viewed by

encoding to kanji/Japanese.
