#24 Question: Tracking phase information

Fellows,

Is there a way to track phase information at a selected range of frequencies?

I am a second year grad student in physics at U. Wisconsin, Madison,
on turbulence in fusion tokamaks. We have a spectroscopy experiment
at General Atomics in San Diego, where we measure light fluctuations
coming from the core of the tokamak. We measure 32 distinct
locations. We are interested in following the time evolution of phase
between light fluctuations in two channels, as that provides
information on localized electric field fluctuations within the fusion
plasma. Noone has yet measured electric field fluctuations in the
core of tokamaks. Please give me some guidance on this topic. It
sounds like wavelets would be appropriate for analysis, as they are
good at following temporal behavior. Please give me some feedback.
