#28 Question: Implementing Vector valued wavelets...

Dear waveleteers,
I am in search of any info/source code on Vector Valued Wavelet
Transforms. Can these be achieved by using the wavelet transform in
the following manner.
Assuming the vector dimension to be N,
1. Split the signal into N different segments.
2. Compute the scalar (ordinary wavelet transform) for each of these N
subsignals and split each into K subbands.
3. Form vectors of dimension N by regrouping the corresponding points
in each subband, across each subsignal.
I tried this method for images, but I did not observe the
pronounced results in Intravector Correelation (ICF) which is cited in
the works on Vector valued wavelets.

Is there a better way of implementing vector wavelet transforms ?
I would appreciate it if anyone can provide me a direction in this.
