#21 Question: What software, books, web sites most useful?

Question: For the second edition of my book, "The World According to
Wavelets," I'd like to update the brief list of wavelet software in the
appendix. The current list describes Wavelet Packet Laboratory for
Windows, S+Wavelets, Numerical Recipes in C and in Fortran, WaveTool by
Aware, Inc., XWPL, WPLab, and Uvi_Wave.

I'm not going to attempt a comprehensive list, and would appreciate some
guidance as to what to include. What software (commercial or free) do you
find most useful? If possible, please include information on obtaining it.
If there's a feature you particularly like (or dislike) I'd be interested.
If you wrote the software or you work for the company that makes it, please
mention it.

I will also be considering additions to the lists of wavelet books and
electronic resources, if you have a favorite wavelet book or web site you'd
like to recommend.

Thanks very much,
Barbara Burke Hubbard jhh8@cornell.edu
