#16 Question: About (virtual) filters phi(w) and psi(w)

Dear waveleteers,

As a newcomer in the wavelets' world, I am studying filters phi(w) and
psi(w) that are never used, but appear in the multiresolution theory.
My question is: Have phi(w) and psi(w) special characteristics for a
given wavelet or are the lowpass and passband filters always similar
whatever the wavelet? If phi(w) and psi(w) are different for different
wavelets, what are the pertinent characteristics?

Thanks in advance for your responses and comments.
Best regards,
