#23 Question: Looking for lifting software.

Hi I am a final year undergrad working on image motion detection in
real time using a M56303 DSP chip. I will have to implement some sort
of image compression, preferably using wavelets for my project. Is
there any public domain software available for the lifting scheme ? A
Matlab toolbox ? In C, assembly or algorithm form ? Can my chip
handle it quickly enough (512x512 pixels @10 frames/sec)? Thanks in
advance.
