#23 Question: Biorthogonal wavelet transforms

Dear waveleteers,
I am a postgraduate research scholar in the area of "Wavelet Transforms
for Low bit rate Image coding". I implemnted orthogonal wavelets and
did VQ to achieve good compression ratios for still images. But, as it
has been proved that biorthogonal wavelets are better for Image coding
appliccation becuase of linear phase, currently I am looking into
biorthognal bases. However, I am encountering lots of problems in
implementing these. Perhaps, my question is too trivial. Please
forgive me. But, if you have any software which implements the Forward
and Inverse wavelet transforms using biorthogonal bases, it will be of
immense use for me. Thanks in advance...

Yours sincerely,
N Santosh
