#17 Question: Wavelet-Pade

Wavelet-Pade transform, comparison of Fourier-Pade transform and wavelet

Dear colleagues,

I am layman in the field of wavelet transform, but often use Fourier
transform. My first question is: For Fourier transform we may use
Pade approximants and improve it. Is it possible to do something
similar for wavelet transform? Second question is: As I understand,
non-smoothing is the most problem for wavelet transform (is it rihgt,
by the way?). On the other hand, Fourier transform gives us smooth
solution, but the rate of convergence is small. May be, if we use
Pade-Fourier transform, we may overcome this difficulty and obtain
smooth transform with rate of convergence similar to the wavelet?
Sincerely yours I.Andrianov
