Meeting: Engineering Applications of Neural Networks

International Conference on Engineering Applications of Neural Networks

Stockholm, Sweden,
16-18 June, 1997

First call for papers

The conference is a forum for presenting the latest results on neural
network applications in technical fields. The pllications may be in
any engineering or technical field, including but not limited to
systems engineering, mechnical engineering, robotics, process
engineering, metallurgy, pulp and paper technology, aeronautical
engineering, computer science, machine vision, chemistry, chemical
engineering, physics, electrical engineering, electronics, civil
engineering, geophysical sciences, biotechnology, and environmental
engineering.

There will be a number of special tracks at this year's conference,
including a track on wavelet applications and neural networks. Papers
are invited for this special track describing applications which make
use of both wavelets and neural networks. Such applications may make
use of wavelets as a pre-processing technique to be applied to the
input data or may use wavelet-type kernel functions in non-linear
layers of a regression network.

Abstracts for this special track should be sent to
pjacob@fs1.eng.man.ac.uk by 21 December 1996, by e-mail in plain ASCII
format. Please mention two to four keywords and whether you would
prefer to submit a short or a full paper. Short papers will be up to 4
pages in length, and full papers may be up to 8 pages. Submissions
will be reviewed and the number of full papers will be very limited.
