WAVELET, SUBBAND AND BLOCK TRANSFORMS IN COMMUNICATIONS

The theories of subband and wavelet transforms, their linkages and design
tools have been extensively studied in the fields of engineering
and appplied mathematics. The advantages of these signal analysis and
processing tools have been utilized in engineering problems of several
disciplines. This symposium will focus on state-of-the-art applications of
wavelet, subband and block transforms in communications. Some of these
applications are:

* Spread Spectrum Communications
* CDMA Communications
* OFDM (DMT) for ADSL and HDSL
* Radar
* Multimedia
* LPI Communications
* Telemedicine
* Other applications

This symposium will consist of a set of invited talks, invited papers
and the presentations of accepted papers. The proceedings of the symposium
will be published and provided to the attendees at the meeting.

Original and unpublished material of wavelet, subband and block transforms
in communications applications are solicited for presentation at this
symposium. All submissions will be reviewed. Please mail six copies of
your paper (10 printed pages maximum) by December 1, 1996 to
