Call for papers

1996 IEEE Digital signal processing workshop
September 1-4, 1996
Alexandra Hotel, Loen, NORWAY
Sponsors: IEEE and NORSIG (The Norwegian Signal Processing Society)


The Seventh IEEE Digital Signal Processing Workshop will be held at Alexandra
Hotel in Loen, Norway, a beautiful fjord and mountain resort on the west
coast of Norway. The event is sponsored by the IEEE Signal Processing Society
and the Norwegian Signal Processing Society, NORSIG, and cosponsored by
NERA Telecommunications. The latest workshop information and forms may be

Original papers are solicited for technical poster sessions on the following
nonexclusive list of topics:

* DSP Techniques for Digital Communications
* Adaptive Filtering and Beamforming
* Statistical Signal Processing
* Design and Applications of Multirate Transforms
* Time-Frequency and Wavelet Representation
* Coding and Quantization
* Nonlinear Systems, Chaos, and Fractals
* Signal Reconstruction and Estimation
* DSP Algorithms and Architectures
* Applications of DSP
* DSP Education

In addition to contributed poster presentations, the workshop will include a
number of invited plenary talks on topics of general interest and organized
panel discussions.

Prospective authors are invited to send FOUR COPIES of THREE-PAGE summaries
including figures and references to

The top of the first page of the summary should include a title, names,
affiliations, addresses, phone and fax numbers, and email addresses of
the authors. Authors of accepted papers will then submit camera-ready
papers of maximum four pages, which will form the published workshop
proceedings.

SCHEDULE:

Submission of proposal: To be received by March 1, 1996
Notification of acceptance: To be mailed out by April 1, 1996
Submission of four-page paper: To be received by May 15, 1996
