Software: Steerable Pyramid: C software library available

I've just made available a C software library to build, manipulate,
and reconstruct Steerable Pyramid decompositions.

The Steerable Pyramid is a multi-scale, multi-orientation image
decomposition that provides a useful front-end for many image
processing and computer vision applications. The transformation is a
type of Wavelet transform, although it is not orthonormal (in fact,
it is a "tight frame"). It has the advantage that it is both
translation- and rotation-invariant.

In addition to the library of C code, we provide three example sets of
filters, two test images, and a few demonstration applications that
illustrate the use of the library.

The code is available via anonymous ftp:
/pub/eero/steerpyr.tar.Z.
This is a unix-compressed tarfile -- don't forget to put ftp into
binary mode. The code is also available via the World Wide Web:
http://www.cis.upenn.edu/~eero/home.html
Let me know if you have any trouble acquiring or using the software.
