CFP: Adv. Comp. Math.: Special issue on neural networks

We plan to publish a special issue of Advances in Computational
Mathematics on neural networks.
The theory of neural networks is a rapidly
growing subject with many applications in a wide variety of
sciences such as robotics, signal
processing, computer vision, prediction of time series, economics,
computer architecture, pattern recognition and artificial
intelligence. Most of these applications require fairly
sophisticated mathematics drawing upon such diverse areas as
statistics, optimization theory, approximation theory, functional
analysis, harmonic analysis, complexity theory, topology etc. The
special issue will provide a forum for original research
publications with a mathematical orientation in the area of neural
networks.

Papers should be prepared following the usual format for the
journal and submitted by the middle of March to
