Question: Looking for a Parallel Discrete Wavelet Transform

Wave-letters!

The DWT using D4 (or D6, D8 etc.) is a sequential algorithm.

i.e., 1 a) (LP Filter, decimate) b) (HP Filter, decimate)
2) Apply 1a)b) the the output of 1a) for as many levels as
desired.

I'm looking for a parallel DWT in which each octave can be independently
created. Any clues, hints, papers etc. If you have the time I'd
certainly wish to discuss it with you.

Thank you,

Samir
