Job: Postdoctoral fellowship at Los Alamos National Laboratory

POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP AT LOS ALAMOS NATIONAL LABORATORY

A two-year postdoctoral fellowship position (renewable third year)
in wavelet transform research is now available in the Theoretical
Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory.

The postdoctoral position is with a newly formed basic research group
that focuses on theory of wavelet transforms (both continuous and
discrete), and applications to speech recognition and other problems
in digital signal processing.

Applicants should have received their Ph.D no earlier than December 1991,
and should have strong technical skills together with a background in
multirate signal processing or related topics in physics or mathematics.
Extensive experience in C or C++ programming is also required.

Postdoctoral salaries at Los Alamos are determined commensurate with
previous job experience, with minimal starting salaries of
approximately $40,000 per year.

The deadline for applications is October 15, 1994; applications
will be considered until the position is filled.

Los Alamos National Laboratory is an affirmative action/equal
opportunity employer. Postdoctoral positions are open to both
U.S. and non-U.S. citizens.
