Wavelet digest takes off

Dear wavelet digest subscriber,

We are very happy to announce you that the wavelet digest took off.
We would like to thank you all for your numerous replies to our
initial announcement and for your encouraging remarks.
At the time of this writing, we have 1450 subscribers from over 400 domains,
including sites in 29 countries, 161 US universities, 12 US government
research labs and 83 companies.

So if you have any information you want to send out to the
wavelet community, please submit it to the digest.
The digest will be send out depending on the number of submissions.
We do hope to have an issue about every two weeks.

We are also planning on keeping archives of the digest. These can be
reached by anonymous ftp to maxwell.math.sc.edu in the
directory /pub/wavelet/archive.

At the moment, we are gathering several reference lists on wavelets.
As soon as they are ready we will announce them in the digest.

We also would like to express our thanks to Brygg Ullmer for
helping us writing the software for the digest.

Wim Sweldens
Bjorn Jawerth

Warrenty: If you subscribe to the digest, the only thing your e-mail
address will be used for is to send out this digest to regularly.
It will not be passed on to others.
