Summary: Editor's comment: unfortunately this is a past event, but you may still be interested in looking at the program

A colloquium entitled "Coherent States, Wavelets, and Applications" will be held in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, on July 10 to 12, 2002, organized by Jean-Pierre Antoine, Inst. Theor. Physics, Univ. Cath. Louvain. This is a satellite meeting to the "XXIV International Colloquium on Group-Theoretical Methods in Physics (GROUP 24)", that will take place in Paris the following week, July 15-20 (org. J-P. Gazeau and R. Kerner).

Topics cover a wide spectrum, namely:

Theory of general coherent states
Gabor analysis
Group-related wavelets
Discrete and continuous wavelet transforms
Applications in signal processing
Applications in image processing
Fractals
Motion analysis
Industrial applications
Biomedical applications

There will be about 10 invited lectures and 25 contributed talks, plus posters.

As an incentive for participation in the two meetings, registration in LLN will be free for the registered participants in the GROUP 24 meeting in Paris. Proceedings will also be published jointly. For further information and registration, see the web page
