Hey all,

I'm doing a course on wavelet and I do final project in modulation identifier, I need to compare MASK with MQAM, the change of phase in MQAM can be identified by detecting the local maximum of CWT.

I simulate it in matlab and from what I understand, I need to take the signal (I + jQ) and calculate the envelop SQRT(I^2 + Q^2) then
do CWT on it and detect the local maximum.

1. how do I choose the scale ?
2. how do I decide what wavelet to take ('haar' ; 'db2' ; ext.) ?
3. how do I detect the local maximum ? (from what I understand, check the max of max of the coef. (matrix) , is it the way ?)

Thanks,

Y. Reiss
