Yeah, I am holding an article about it in the Spring '95 HARC Newsletter, called Corollary. I came across this forum just now trying to see if anyone else knew what became of it. According to the article, it's a boundary-spline-wavelet algorithm. The specs are impressive. However, it kind of disappeared off the map. I suspect it was merely quietly incorporated into the MPEG standard, forming the basis of MPEG-3 and higher. I do recall hearing a story some years back, when I still knew people at HARC, that one of the co-inventors--I don't remember if it was Chui or Yuen--stole everything on the algorithm and skipped the country. Seems plausible given that the very first license of the algorithm went to a government aerospace contractor intending to use it for satellite and aircraft imaging.

Im now trying out a Nvidia GTS250 which seems to run faster than my 8800gt. The specs seem to be better and was told the gts250 is more for gaming than the gt240 is which i beleive is more for tv viewing. btw how do I find out my FPS??
