Tables for wavelets on the interval.

The tables for orthonormal bases adapted to the interval
as computed in the paper of Cohen, Daubechies and Vial
(to be published in Applied and Compuational Harmonic
Analysis, the first issue of which will be published this fall),
have been updated. The tables include more precise instructions
for the preconditioning matrices. Tables for the coefficients
corresponding to Y. Meyer's older scheme for wavelets
on the interval have also been included.

These tables are available from the ftp site
(login: netlib , password : your e-mail address ); the file
is wavelets.Z (set to binary before transferring and uncompress
once you have got them) in the directory stat/data .

The entries for the edge coefficients in these tables have
turned out to be accurate only up to 1E-8, even though more
digits are given. For applications where they needed more
accuracy, Mary Brewster and Greg Beylkin at the University
of Colorado in Boulder have computed the coefficients for
N=2 to N=6 with accuracy 1E-14.
